Landmarks: Flight 93 Memorial; Union City, CA

This is part of a new series of local parks and landmarks.

There is a Flight 93 Memorial in Union City, CA.  It's kind of in a random spot ... just at an empty lot at the corner by a bike path.  We used to walk by it every day on our walks and we watched it get built.  Each passenger on the plane has a stone on a pathway.  There are three stones at the beginning of the pathway describing the memorial.  At the end of the memorial is a flag that is surrounded by tiles painted by local elementary school students.
