Leading Lines

I read a blog on leading lines and how to achieve the effect.

This was the best shot of my first attempt.

Using a Nikon D3100, my 18-55 VR lens. My F-stop was at 3.5 - the lowest this lens will go.

My focal point was the computer charger.

I used the lines in teh floor leading to the charger, the foot of the entertainment center leading down to the charger, and the bottom shelf of the entertainmetn center leading up to the charger. Additionally, the rail fo teh swing leads over to the charger also, but not quite as well.

i heart face - vroom vroom

This weeks' challenge over at iheartfaces.com is all about cars.  I had a million ideas go through my head, both of old photos and taking new photos.  But I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to post this awesome photo of my daughter (11 months at the time it was taken) hanging out in her new to her police car.

This is her favorite toy and we have to drag her away from it when it's time to go inside.

This little daisy (I think it's a daisy) is one I picked on the side of the road while visiting my MIL last spring. I had so much fun taking a bunch of photos of the flower and my step-daughter [isn't she gorgeous?].

The theme this week at iheartfaces is "Over My Head."

I instantly thought of this photo. This is Andrew, 15, playing with his baby sister Audrey, 1. Audrey had just had a fun day playing in the water and Andrew wanted to join in the fun.

I heart faces - PLAY

This is my 1 year old daughter playing in the water. I filled up her lego blog activity table with water and put on a swimming suit. She was more interested in drinking the water than playing with it.

Seasons

This week's challenge at PG's photography challenge is seasons. This is a little abstract for my analytical, science mind. I need tangible things. At any rate, a budding flower shouts spring to me, so here is a rosebud. Spring. Blooming.

Spring also means playing outside in your shorts and t-shirts.  Flowers.  Green grass.  Fun with daddy.
