i heart face - vroom vroom

This weeks' challenge over at iheartfaces.com is all about cars.  I had a million ideas go through my head, both of old photos and taking new photos.  But I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to post this awesome photo of my daughter (11 months at the time it was taken) hanging out in her new to her police car.

This is her favorite toy and we have to drag her away from it when it's time to go inside.

iheartfaces - purple

PURPLE!!! This weeks' theme at iheartfaces.com is purple. Purple is my most-favoritest color.

This little daisy (I think it's a daisy) is one I picked on the side of the road while visiting my MIL last spring. I had so much fun taking a bunch of photos of the flower and my step-daughter [isn't she gorgeous?].

i heart faces - over my head

The theme this week at iheartfaces is "Over My Head."

I instantly thought of this photo. This is Andrew, 15, playing with his baby sister Audrey, 1. Audrey had just had a fun day playing in the water and Andrew wanted to join in the fun.

I heart faces - PLAY

This is my 1 year old daughter playing in the water. I filled up her lego blog activity table with water and put on a swimming suit. She was more interested in drinking the water than playing with it.

Seasons

This week's challenge at PG's photography challenge is seasons. This is a little abstract for my analytical, science mind. I need tangible things. At any rate, a budding flower shouts spring to me, so here is a rosebud. Spring. Blooming.

Spring also means playing outside in your shorts and t-shirts.  Flowers.  Green grass.  Fun with daddy.

Constructive Critisicm Friday

I took this photo of my step-daughter. I found the flower and thought it was cool. Took a bunch of photos of the flower, then was inspired to do a series of her with the flower. I was really inspired and had great ideas, but think that the photo could use some work. There were about 20 of them that I took, and this was one of the best SOOC photos. I think the lighting is a little off, and maybe even some comments on how to better position the model.

I have no details of the photo, I took it about a year ago. I just have a small PandS camera and don't even know how to find those details. I can say I was probably using my macro setting, but that's about it.

Thanks,
Christine

Still Life

I'm a week late for this, but they're my still life photos.

Almost Monochromatic

Photo Challenge this week is Almost Monochromatic and Fast Shutter. I have a GREAT idea for fast shutter, but I can't do it until the skater gets home and it stops raining. I also have a great idea for monochromatic, but I need it to stop raining for that as well.

So, while at work today, I played some with my camera. Here are my temporary photos for the challenge

i heart faces - dancing

This is my husband and his daughter at our wedding in a reverse Generations dance. They danced to Zoey-Jane by Staind. She was crying for the entire wedding because she was so happy for her father and his happiness. I am very blessed that she is my step-daughter.

i heart faces - kisses

My husband and daughter at 3 weeks. She was wearing an onesie that said, "Queen of my Daddy's Heart." How can you not want to kiss that???? She was super happy, and then just start bawling when he went to kiss her.

Once he stopped kissing her, she was fine.

This is definitely a favorite photo of mine. She was tiny and fragile and completely helpless.
